After many failed attempts to post in the official thread, ill just post it here

I would like to suggest the plugin "Npc Warehouse"
This addon/ plugin is supported by bukkit and is a really cool plugin to use.

The plugin allows any individual player to create npcs

These NPCS can preform numerous tasks for the player, such as

Mining
Trading
Mail carrier/sender
And guardian

I used this plugin on the last server I was on and the players loved it.
You can arm your npc(s) to protect you or you can have them greet people coming into your establishment.

A cool thing about these npcs is they can have set points to patrol or walk to and from, so thy arnt always standing still looking boring. Npc vs can also be mounted on horses .

The final thing I like about these npcs is they will keep you company when no one is on but beware im afraid most of them have a limited vocabulary and only speak a few words
